Depending on the class of permit you are applying for, specific fees are applicable.The ND Class of Permits and Permit Fees sets out the fee schedule for each respective activity.

Building & Associated Permits

Depending on the type of construction there may be additional permits and applications that need to be filled out and submitted. Some new construction projects will require an entrance application, civic number and a water/sewer connection application.

Swimming Pools

Tents

The Township has a policy for the erection of tents within the Township. In order to determine if you need a tent permit, review the tent policy document below. Applications for a tent permit can also be access below as well.

How to Pay

Payment for permit fees are due upon the submission of a permit application. The Township accepts the following forms of payment: cash, money order, cheque, Visa, Master Card and Interac. Cheques and money orders are payable to the Township of North Dundas.

Booking an Inspection

The Building Department requires 48 hours notice for scheduling a building inspection. To order an inspection for your building project please call the Township office at (613) 774-2105 ext. 246.  You can also email the Technical Assistant to schedule an inspection. Be sure to include your name, contact number, building permit number or civic address as well as the type of inspection begin requested.

Please note that the Building Department cannot guarantee specific times for inspections.

Development Charges

Development charges may apply to certain building applications when a building permit application is submitted to the Building Department. For further information, and to see if your construction project is subject to development charges, click here.
