Jim Watson, Mayor of the City of Ottawa, to Headline 2016 North Dundas Mayor’s Breakfast
The Township of North Dundas has announced that Mayor Eric Duncan and Members of Council will be welcoming Jim Watson, Mayor of the City of Ottawa, as the guest speaker for the 5th Annual North Dundas Mayor’s Community Breakfast. The event will be held on Thursday, December 1st, 2016, at the Joel Steele Community Centre.
“Having Mayor Watson join us in North Dundas is a great chance to highlight many of the great activities taking place for Canada’s 150th birthday in the Nation’s Capital next year,” said North Dundas Mayor Eric Duncan. “Personally, Jim has been a real role model for myself in public life as someone who is pragmatic, hardworking, and well respected across political lines. I’m honoured that he has agreed to be our guest speaker this year. ”
Mayor Duncan will also be making a ‘State of the Township’ presentation during the free breakfast that is sponsored again this year by O’Farrell Financial.
The annual event is organized to bring together the business community, local residents, and the Township to increase communication and understanding of local government. Over 250 guests attended last year’s breakfast with the President of Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, Jeff Hunt.
The event is open to the general public on a first come, first serve basis and runs from 7:00 am until 8:45 am sharp. RSVPs are required by calling 613-774-2105, no later than Friday, November 25th, 2016. It should be noted that seating is limited and RSVPs are necessary.
