OTHER MUNICIPAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

March 26 – News Release – from the Counties SDG (Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry)

On Thursday, March 26th at 4:00 pm, SD&G, Cornwall and Prescott-Russell jointly declared a State of Emergency to better handle the local response to COVID-19.  It is very important for our community to understand that this is done as a precautionary measure and it is not a need to panic. It is imperative that we continue to social distance, stay home and slow down the spread of COVID-19. Our efforts are making a difference.

TOWNSHIP OF NORTH DUNDAS:

May 25 – Township Announcement:  The Boyne Road landfill is open starting today from 8 am to 4 pm.  Social distancing measures are still in place so vehicles may have to wait to enter the landfill 

May 19The Township of North Dundas has extended the due dates for the final tax bill installments.  The payment normally due at the end of June will now be due on July 31st and the payment normally due at the end of September will now be due October 30th.  Additionally, any penalties or interest that would normally be charged during April, May and June has been waived.  

April 27 – Boyne Road landfill is open to North Dundas residents by appointment only: 
In an effort to ensure the safety of the public and our employees through physical distancing, the landfill is open to the public by appointment only.  Please contact the landfill at 613-774-5157 to schedule an appointment.  We encourage everyone to recycle responsibly, stay home and stay safe.

April 10 – Township Announcement – Township By-Law Division to assist in emergency order enforcement

March 31 – Township of North Dundas – Water & Sewer Payment Date Extention:

To reduce any financial hardships that may face our residents arising from the COVID-19 outbreak, the Council of the Township of North Dundas has extended the due date for our water and sewer bills normally due April 30th, to May 30th.  The bills are being issued this week with the adjusted due date of May 30th.

March 27 – Township of North Dundas – Residential Waste:

The Township of North Dundas has increased the residential waste limit to 3 bags per week to accommodate the additional waste that residents may generate while Staying Home and Staying Safe.  Garbage and recycling collection schedules remain unchanged.  We encourage everyone to continue to recycle responsibly. 

For the protection of our employees and our contractors, we ask that garbage be placed in tied garbage bags, not loose in containers.  If you have been ill, please place any potentially contaminated items in the bag with your garbage, not in your blue box.
