Natural Heritage Study

The United Counties of Prescott et/and Russell as well as The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry have partnered with SNC to conduct a Natural Heritage Systems (NHS) study.

An NHS is a network of interconnected natural features such as forests, rivers, wetlands, and agricultural lands. These systems are made up of core natural areas and natural linkages that support wildlife movement and natural processes necessary to maintain biological diversity, natural functions, ecosystems, and sustainable development activities.

SNC invites interested residents and stakeholders to tune-in for virtual public information sessions on the updated draft Natural Heritage System maps. Feedback will assist in updating Official Plan policies for the Counties.

Please join them online:
Tuesday, February 9, 2020 at 7:00 pm (SDG)
Wednesday, February 10, 2020 at 7:00 pm (UCPR)

Sessions will be live streamed on Youtube.
