Are you interested in lessons on a stringed instrument or just sharpening your existing skills in performance and/or musical theoretical subjects? I have 40+ years of professional experience as a violinist, teacher (classroom and private) and arranger. I welcome all ages and skill levels (including new beginners) for live with occasional online lessons (weather-related).
My Hallville studio offers private music lessons primarily on violin & viola, some cello, and some bass options along with strong RCM theory/history/ear training, and skill development/brush up classes to prepare for University music programs. My musical background is quite extensive in both private and group settings having taught music fulltime at Canterbury H.S. Arts Program in Ottawa for 32 years; while also maintaining an association as string faculty with NCSSM; Academy Youth Orchestra; Greely Players as their Music Director since 1990. My Ottawa region violin performance background includes founding member as violin with Hull Chamber Orchestra; violin with Ottawa Symphony; along with occasional studio and other musical gigs when opportunities arose.
