Drainage

Municipal drains are an important part of local infrastructure. They are drainage systems that remove excess water from agricultural land, ditches, residential lots and commercial and industrial properties. There are approximately 337 municipal drains and branches maintained by the Township of North Dundas. Drains can include:

  • ditches
  • pipes
  • tiles
  • grassed waterways
  • storm water detention ponds
  • culverts
  • creeks and small rivers
