NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A DEVELOPMENT CHARGES BY-LAW BY THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH DUNDAS
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Dundas passed municipal wide Development Charges By-law No. 2022-35 on the 3rd day of May, 2022 under the Development Charges Act.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal the by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal under Section 14 of the Act by filing with the Clerk of the Township of North Dundas not later than the 13th day of June a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection, accompanied by the fee prescribed. https://olt.gov.on.ca/appeals-process/fee-chart/.
The by-law applies to all lands, buildings and structures in the Township of North Dundas with certain exceptions, therefore a key map is not provided. The non-residential charge is pro-rated to account for economies of scale. The development charges imposed under the by-law are required to pay for the increased growth-related capital costs related to the increased need for municipal services arising from new development. A pumping station surcharge applies to the Thompson Subdivision in Chesterville. The development charges imposed under By-law No. 2022-35, which came into effect on May 4, 2022, are as follows:
