NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE (FORMER TOWNSHIP OF MOUNTAIN) ZONING BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH DUNDAS
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Dundas will hold a
public meeting on the 17th day of May, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Dundas Municipal Council
Chambers 636 St. Lawrence Street, Winchester, Ontario to consider a proposed amendment to
(Former Township of Mountain) Zoning By-law No. 79-6 under Section 34 of the Planning Act,
R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13, as amended.
THE PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT would change the zoning of the lands
known as 2227 Simms Street, legally described as Part of Lot 6, Concession 6 as indicated by
the blue outline area on the attached Key Map. The purpose is to convert an existing church into
a single detached residential dwelling by rezoning the property from “Institutional (I)” to
“Residential First Density, Special Exemption 11 (R1-11)”.
IF THE PROPOSED BY-LAW is adopted, the subject property will be zoned to permit a single
detached residential dwelling.
IF A PERSON or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the
Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Dundas to the Ontario Land Tribunal (the
Tribunal) but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or
make written submissions to the Township of North Dundas before the By-law is passed, the
person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make
written submissions to the Township of North Dundas before the By-law is passed, the person
or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Tribunal
unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

for inspection from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Township Office
