CO is a deadly, colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. It is produced by the incomplete burning of various fuels types. Homes have an average of 4-5 fuel-burning appliances, which should be inspected annually. CO poisoning is similar to the flu, without the fever.
The NDFS Fire Prevention Committee encourages all of our residents to have a working CO detector and to test it regularly.
