Updated August 23rd, 2024 - The four culvert replacements on Cayer Road have been completed, the road has been fully reopened.
Please be advised of four culvert replacements on Cayer Road in Winchester commencing Monday, August 19 to approximately Friday, August 30, 2024. The road will be closed to through traffic during the week but will be re-opened for the weekend.
Throughout this time, Cayer Road will be closed to all through traffic. These work sites and schedules are as follows (refer to the map below):
1. Monday, August 19 to Tuesday, August 20 - Culvert replacement between civic #1570 and #1621.
2. Wednesday, August 21 to Friday, August 23 - Culvert replacement at Benson George Road from civic #1623 to #1653.
3. Monday, August 26 to Tuesday, August 27 - Culvert replacement from civic #1834 to #1880.
4. Wednesday, August 28 - Culvert replacement from civic #1880 to #1985.
Traffic will be diverted to surrounding local roads by way of appropriate signage. These detour routes are indicated in green on the map.
The completion date is tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions and any unforeseen delays.
