The Township of North Dundas is reminding residents that proof of vaccination will soon be required to enter local facilities. Starting tomorrow, Sept. 22, new provincial legislation comes into effect that requires people to show proof of vaccination (full vaccination / two doses + 14 days) in order to access certain facilities and businesses.
In compliance with provincial regulations, North Dundas will ask for proof of vaccination and ID when entering community facilities for recreation programs and private events.
These facilities include:
Chesterville Arena
Winchester Arena
Morewood Community Hall
Chesterville Community Hall
Nelson LaPrade Centre
Joel Steele Community Hall
Old Town Hall in Winchester
South Mountain Resource Room
You do not need to have proof of vaccination to visit the Township Office lobby at this time.
Exemptions do apply to people under the age of 18, in addition to medical exemptions. For more detailed information about the new vaccine certificate policy, visit www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/publichealth/coronavirus/docs/fq_p…
As more information becomes available, the township will share it with the community and user groups.
North Dundas Mayor Tony Fraser says we are living in challenging times and everyone needs to do their part to keep the community safe and healthy.
“Thank you in advance to everyone for understanding the need for the process that is in place and for being supportive and respectful of our staff.”
