NOTICE OF HALLVILLE ROAD CLOSURE
From August 8th to approximately August 19th, the Counties SDG will undertake a box culvert replacement on County Rd 1 (Reids Mills Rd) in Hallville, in the Township of North Dundas.
The culvert replacement will see a widened right of way along the east side of County Rd 1 to accommodate a new section of the pathway that is being planned by the Township of North Dundas, which will facilitate the future Hallville Community Park. The box culvert that is being replaced is on County Rd 1 (Reids Mills Rd) on the south side of St. John St. This project will have an impact on travel and is being completed with a full road closure and detour route. During this period, the Counties will also be installing a new buried culvert for the entrance to the new park and will be giving all of the clean fill to the park.
County Rd 1 will be closed from Kerr’s Ridge Rd to Loughlin Ridge Rd and the detour route includes Loughlin Ridge Rd, Boundary Rd and County Rd 43, as seen in the map. Local traffic will still be able to use the road during the replacement project.
